Stream with viewers: a free chess viewer queue with QR code

Streamers: open a viewer queue, put the QR code on stream, and play viewers one by one. Free OBS overlay included, no accounts needed for viewers.

Playing your viewers is one of the most fun things you can do on stream. Stream with viewers handles the queue for you.

For the streamer

  1. Open Stream with viewers and set the time control, your colour, the queue size (5–100) and "one game per viewer".
  2. Open your queue. You get a big QR code, a join link and an overlay link.
  3. Viewers join; you see the queue (and can remove people).
  4. Press Play next: you and the next viewer go straight into a game.

Your queue keeps the same 6-character code every time, so your links and overlay keep working between streams.

The OBS overlay

Add the overlay link as a Browser Source in OBS. It has a transparent background and shows the QR code, the link, the queue length and your current opponent.

For viewers

Scan the QR code or open the link, enter a name (no account needed) and join. You see your place in line live, and when it's your turn the game opens automatically. If you close the page you keep your place for 2 minutes.

Limits

Up to 100 viewers per queue and 120 queue games an hour. A queue closes after 3 hours without host activity. Queues are kept in server memory, so a server update can clear them; your page tells you if that happens and you can simply reopen.
