ChessMess adds 100,000 puzzles and 57 interactive lessons
Rated puzzles in 73 themes with a daily puzzle, Sprint and Streak, and 57 lessons from the rules to classic endgames. Both free and unlimited, no account needed.
Puzzles and lessons were the two biggest things ChessMess was missing. Both are now live, free and unlimited.
Puzzles
- 100,000 rated puzzles from the Lichess puzzle database, picked to cover every rating from beginner to master.
- 73 themes, from forks and pins to back-rank mates and endgames, each with its own page.
- A puzzle rating that follows your level, so the next puzzle is never far too easy or too hard.
- A daily puzzle, Sprint (3 or 5 minutes, three lives) and Streak (one mistake ends it), with leaderboards.

Lessons
- 57 interactive lessons written for ChessMess: a path in four stages, from how the pieces move to rook endgames, plus a library of openings and classic games.
- Lessons mix short explanations with finding the move, quizzes, mini-games and playing positions out against Stockfish.
- Every answer in every lesson is checked by Stockfish before it ships.

Lichess still has the bigger puzzle collection and puzzle races, and Chess.com a larger lesson library. The comparisons say where each site leads.
